Mary MorrisonProfessional Outreach & Executive Assistant
Mary is originally from the Portland, Maine area. She attended North Yarmouth Academy where she was a stand-out athlete. She graduated from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, where she majored in psychology and did a great deal of work in event planning for the political campaigns that make St. Anselm a hub for debates and other campaign activities in both national and regional elections. Before starting at St. Anselm College Mary took time off from her education to play in the competitive junior hockey league. She then went on to play for the women's hockey team at St. Anselm.
Mary has a deep interest in special needs education and has both interned in an Autism Spectrum Disorder program at Boston Medical Center and worked directly with the intellectually disabled population. Mary also loves non-profit work and has been a regular volunteer in multiple areas so it's no surprise that she is a dedicated presence in McMillan Education's community outreach volunteer work. Before joining McMillan Education, Mary worked in child care and then in administrative support and client outreach with The Center for Women and Enterprise, a group devoted to helping women start and develop their own businesses.
In her free time, you can find Mary out for a walk, at a beach or reading. She is also a big "foodie" and loves sampling all that Boston has to offer on the culinary front!
